Happy 10th Birthday Bitcoin

Happy 10th birthday Bitcoin!

It hasn’t been that easy or nice all of these 10 years with for example the last years price collapse. Since the start of Satoshi’s great invention in 2009, 1000’s of bitcoin and crypto currency projects have started (and some also failed). But still new projects are launched almost every day, for example eco-friendly miners or Samsungs UK Trademark for wallets.

Lately we’ve seen an increase in prices for most major currencies, and hopefully this is just a bump in the road like it’s been for Bitcoin in many other cases over the 10 years. Bitcoin is trading above USD 3,800 again from the bottom at about USD 3,000. Some investors still belive in crypto currencies, so lets hope this price drop is just a way of buying cheap 😉

The growing trend to get the power to your own keys (wallet keys) seems to be the big thing for the birthday of Bitcoin. Proof of Keys, like the campaign is called, is when you withdraw your bitcoins from any third-party wallets and store them in private wallets where you have full access to the crypto keys. By appending [Jan/3 🔑] to your Twitter handle you show your support for the campaign.

Another big trend for 2019 seems to be the growing support for privacy using your crypto currency because of the projects like Grin and Beam where you get private transactions using Mimblewimble.

“It uses a modified version of Confidential Transactions so that the balances are stored as cryptographic commitments rather than publicly visible amounts.” says Jordan Clifford

    1. After I originally commented I appear to have clicked on the -Notify me when new comments are added- checkbox and
now every time a comment is added I recieve four emails with the exact same comment.

Is there an easy method you are able to remove me from that service?
      Cheers!
